[ January 30, 2010; 1:30 pm; ] Read to a Pet offers a chance for children to try the most relaxing, non-threatening way to practice reading out loud — reading to a dog or cat. These visiting furry friends have been trained and certified by the Willamette Humane Society as therapy animals and are mellow and friendly.
