can you tell us what the results were for the Wes Bennett Park survey and what was forwarded to the City of Salem? I live in the nearby Foxhaven neighborhood across Battlecreek from the park area and like going to the park with my family.

Also, is there any timeline for the pending park at Lee Elementary? We’ve lived in the neighborhood for about 8 years and it doesn’t feel like we’re any closer to having a park. The kids walk cross Battlecreek to get to Wes Bennett Park; I’m worried someone is going to get hurt on that busy road one of these days…

    Thank you

By the way, I love that we have a web site and comment area online. Great!!! thanks again!

I live in the area of Wes Bennett Park and have experienced the frustration of parking and ability to safely drive into the neighborhood. I am a new board member for SGNA and was present at the meeting last night.(Jan. 14). I agree with other neighbors that something must be done before this coming summer. I agree with option 7a; requiring resident parking permits. I believe something more significant needs to be done for the future even if it means limiting hours of operation. A new water feature at Woodmansee Park might help.
